One of Mozart’s comic operas, composed in the author’s later age, shows all the magnificence of his talent. Through the joyful and refined music, in this opera Mozart conjures up unsteadiness of human feelings. Don Alfonso, a skeptical philosopher, makes a bet with the young men Guglielmo and Ferrando, convincing them that their lovers will betray them. With the help of the maid Despina and a cunning game, Alfonso talks Fiordiligi and Dorabella into infidelity. Two naïve girls betrayed their lovers with themselves, but disguised! Finally, there is a happy ending, because, either faithful or unfaithful - »cosi fan tutte« - they all do like that. The opera is performed in two acts and in Italian, with the subtitles.
