Duska Nesic

Duska Nesic ex.Drazic born in Dubrovnik 1979, graduated studies Science of fashion and costumes at the Faculty of Philosophy University of  Rome La Sapienza.  Undergraduate course ended with Professor Dr. Anne Florenz defence of the research work of the Župa Dubrovačka folk costume.

Graduate study ends in the class Professor  Dr. Guido Pescosolido (history),  defence of research work La moda nel socialismo in Yugoslavia: anni 50 e 60 (Fashion during socialism in Yugoslavia 50s and 60s),  with the highest score of 110 cum laude and with a Rector’s award.

She works in different designer and costume history fields, for fashion shows, stylist and like costume designer in film, music videos, and theatre.  Worked with lots of distinguished directors and costume designers. In 2015 her designed dress for actress Laura Pizzirani for the Red Carpet of Festival of Cannes, for the premiere of the movie Tale of Tales, director Matteo Garrone. In 2016 she lecture History of costume and symbology of colours in medieval.

FILM:

She worked for the great film production like Lionsgate, Walt Disney, Lucas Films, Stillking and movies and series like Knightfall, Game of Thrones, Dig, Star Wars, Fun, Robin Hood, The Dark Tower, Bliss, in Budapest, Prague, Paris, Roma, Trieste….

For years she collaborate with Italian director Flavio Costa with who she won a few awards on Italian film festivals. In 2017 they shoot a first short VR (virtual reality film) which went on Biennale of Venice.

Behind her there is a lots of costume designer work, between, 15 short, two international movies, Babylon Sisters, director Gigi Roccati and Like me back, director Leonardo Guerra Seragnioli .  

In 2018 she workes with most estimated Croatian director Dalibor Matanic,  on the second part of trilogy of  the Sun, movie Zora.

THEATRE:

For the years she worked on plays at Dubrovnik summer Festival like costume assistant and costume designer. Assistant for the costume designer Danica Dedijer on plays  Hamlet, director 

Ivan Kuncevic, Dundo Maroje,  Ivan Kuncevic, Reviser by Gogol, director Jernej Lorencij, La serve padrona director Kresimir Dolencic, Romeo and Juliet, director Jagos Markovic….

Like costume designer Skup: Igre, director Sasa Bozic, Come Arte Che score.., doajen director Maurizzio Scaparro, opera Il Trovatore, director Robert Boskovic, operetta Im Weissen Rösl, director Robert Boskovic.

In the meantime she is preparing operetta in Belgrade, Opera Samson and Dhalila in the National Theatre in Osijek, international series with Orlando Bloom, and long shoot movie.
