IGOR WEIDLICH is a playwright, dramaturg, journalist, editor and university lecturer. He is a member of the Croatian Community of Independent Artists (HZSU) and the Croatian Association of Dramatic Artists (HDDU). His most recent theatrical works are original hit plays in the co-production of B GLAD Production and KD Vatroslav Lisinski - Who the F *** is Biba? (Director: Boris Kovačević; Cast: Slavko Sobin and Petar Kurtela), Speak of the Wolf (Director: Robert Bošković; Cast: Bojan Jambrošić and Manuela Svorcan), The Yellow Minute (author in a team with Igor Barberić and the Huljić family).

Among his more prominent works is the dramaturg of the spectacle Black House – Musical in Color, seen by more than 150.000 members of the audience. He was also a dramaturg of the musical Patients, whose authors are Miro Gavran and Tonči Huljić, directed by Igor Barberić in the Vatroslav Lisinski Hall. Dramatization and directing of the hit mono-comedy The Politician, with Slavko Sobin in the lead role, should also be mentioned, as this play is still on tour after almost three years.

In B GLAD Production and Theater Komedija co-production, his original play Balls was staged, directed by Igor Barberić. In Medley Theater he created conceptual musical Microphones – The Story About a Singer, with composer Trpimir Jerković (based on 'The Chairs' and 'The Bald Soprano', plays written by Eugène Ionesco). Also, as part of educational courses, he teaches journalism and creative writing in Medley Theater. In Medley Theater and KD Pinklec co-production, he wrote Petrica Kerempuh, the musical for children.

He has been involved in theater since his early age, and his first professionally performed work, for which he wrote the libretto, is musical The Asphalt Rose, which found its place in the repertoire of the Theater Komedija.

He worked as a journalist and an editor for many years in the daily newspaper Vjesnik, also in Vijenac, and today he writes for Jet Set Magazine and Playboy. Also, he is the editor-in-chief of the student newspaper Global at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb, where he works on the practical training of young journalists (Global was the recipient of the Special Rector's Award in 2015) and also lectures these classes: Print Media, Newsroom and Journalism in multimedia environment.
