Haris Pasovic, a world-renowned director, whose glittering achievements have been staged in Belgrade theatres and entered the history of Yugoslav theatre, will after 30 years honor theater lovers of our city with his directing in the Madlenianum. Reading rehearsals of the play Miss Julie, expected to be premiered on October 29 on the Large Stage of the Opera &Theatre Madlenianum, have begun.

The masterpiece of August Strindberg, Miss Julie, has been chosen for our repertoire because of its timelessness and with particular adaptation and perception expectations of this great author-director. For the title heroine Haris Pasovic cast the young actress Sara Dirnbek, the star of the Slovenian theatre, awarded many times at significant festivals. Strahinja Blazic in the role of Jean, Mina Pavlica in the role of Christine, as well as six other young actors (Katarina Bradonjic, Ksenija Repic, Sofija Kovacevic, Nikola Knezevic, Jovan Veljkovic and Filip Stankovski) are the ensemble that will bring Miss Julia to the stage as a contemporary up to date love story, a story about a gap in which the main heroine is and other characters as well.

Along with Haris Pasovic there is an excellent team of authors: a set designer Aleksandar Denic, the costume designers Irma Saje and Vanja Ciraj Dzudza, a composer Marko Grubic, a choreographer Igor Pastor, a playwright Jelena Paligoric Sinkevic, a proofreader Ljiljana Mrkic Popovic.
