PERFORMANCE – THE POWER OF THE ART OF SIX HEROINES RESCHEDULED FOR 30th SEPTEMBER

The first premiere of the 2024-2025 season, a co-production by the Opera &Theatre Madlenianum and the fashion agency Fabrika, a theatrical-fashion performance titled THE POWER OF THE ART OF SIX HEROINES has been postponed for technical reasons from Sunday, 29. September to Monday, 30. September. The script and directing author of the performance is the famous and multi-award-winning director Rossano Giuppa from Italy, and the choreography will be done by the Australian artist Matthew Soloviev. This multimedia event combines dance, music, drama, and fashion, whereas the theme and inspiration are six great female artists who have created over the last 100 years and still continue to create, achieving fame and success in their fields during their lifetimes. All six women, who will be brought to life on stage through the performance, have changed the modes of artistic expression with their innovations and secured their places in history.

The artists honoured by the performance THE POWER OF THE ART OF SIX HEROINES are the Serbian performance artist Marina Abramovic, American painter Georgia O'Keeffe, British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, German dancer and choreographer Pina Bausch, Italian singer Mina and French writer Simone de Beauvoir.

This performance on the Madlenianum stage will feature the actresses: Tamara Aleksic, Tamara Sustic and Natasa Miovcic, singer Iva Ikon, dancers from the National Foundation for Artistic Dance and models from the Fabrika, Fox and Akka agencies. Tickets are available for purchase online or at our box offices for the price of 1.600 RSD.

Until 1. September, 2024, you can purchase tickets for our other performances at the old prices. Starting from 1. September, a new price list will be in effect. In September, we will be staging the comedies Anniversary on the Large Stage and Feliks and Doris on the Small Stage, as well as the drama The Glass Menagerie on the Small Stage. From 1. October, our latest hit musical Company by Stephen Sondheim, directed by Nebojsa Bradic, returns to our stage, featuring a brilliant performance by Slaven Doslo in the leading role.

The box office at the Theater in Zemun has new working hours: every weekday from 9 AM to 4 PM, that is, in two shifts from 9 AM to 1 PM and from 6 PM to 8 PM when there is a performance on the repertoire, as well as at weekends from 6 PM to 8 PM when there is a performance on the repertoire.
